Data Deletion Instructions
This page explains how to have all data deleted that the app “Mokdar Postiz” stored about your Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok or YouTube account.
1. Request deletion by e-mail
Send an e-mail to info@mokdar-software.de with the subject “Data Deletion Request”. Please include:
- the platform (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok or YouTube);
- the name or username of the connected account (e.g. @youraccount);
- an e-mail address for the confirmation.
To protect your account, we may ask you to confirm the request from an e-mail address linked to the account or by a direct message from the account.
2. What is deleted
- access tokens and the connection to your account;
- account data (ID, name, username, profile picture);
- scheduled posts, media, comments, statistics and logs related to your account stored in the app.
Posts already published on the platform are not deleted automatically because they belong to you – you can delete them in the platform's app or explicitly ask us to do so.
3. Time frames and confirmation
- acknowledgement within 3 working days with a reference number;
- deletion within 30 days of receipt;
- afterwards a written confirmation by e-mail.
- remaining copies in backups are automatically overwritten after 60 days at the latest.
Only data we are legally required to keep (e.g. invoices) remains stored in restricted form until the retention period ends.
4. Remove access yourself right away
You can also disconnect at any time yourself. After that the app can no longer publish on your behalf:
- Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites → “Mokdar Postiz” → Remove;
- Instagram: Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites → “Mokdar Postiz-IG” → Remove;
- LinkedIn: Settings → Data privacy → Permitted services → Remove;
- TikTok / YouTube: Settings → Security or Google Account → Third-party apps → Remove access.
When you remove the app on Facebook or Instagram, we also delete the related data within 30 days.
